Mr. Joseph Wiederholt

Joseph Wiederholt was born in Lisbon, North Dakota, the seventh child in a family of nine children. He was educated in St. Aloysius School through the sixth grade, attended public schools through the eleventh, and graduated from Cardinal Muench Seminary in Fargo, North Dakota. After high school, he entered the Carmelite Brothers of the Holy Eucharist, attending vigorous colleges and universities while teaching in Catholic Schools in Louisiana, Indiana, and Idaho. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Louisiana State University and a Master of Arts in Catholic School Leadership from the University of Dallas.He began teaching at St. Frances Cabrini School in the fall of 1990 and continued teaching in the middle school until 2008. He had always taught middle school students in a variety of subjects, but always English and Religion, which he truly loved. In the Spring of 2008, he became the principal of St. Frances Cabrini School. As principal, he says: “I see my call as one to keep our school faithful to its mission statement and to the heritage left to us by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word who opened our school in 1948. I feel if we remain faithful to these, there will always be a reason for St. Frances Cabrini school to existin the future that lies ahead of us.”
