• Faith Formation:  At St. Frances Cabrini School, forming Disciples of Christ is not just a priority; it is the cornerstone of our educational mission. Our commitment to faith formation is woven into every aspect of our curriculum, guiding students to develop a deep and personal relationship with Christ while nurturing their academic growth and personal development. • Academic Excellence: St. Frances Cabrini has a strong academic reputation, with qualified and dedicated teachers, a well-rounded curriculum, and a focus on the whole child.

• Mission: The main mission of our school is to lead all of our students to Christ.

• Class Sizes: We offer smaller class sizes which leads to more personalized attention for students. 

• Facilities and Resources: Our campus is continually being updated. In the last five years, we have built a brand new early childhood wing and playground. We have recently installed a state-of-the art SmartLab, a ninja ropes course on our large playground, a covered basketball court, and a walking track. Our campus also has a science lab, a fully up-to-date library, and several raised gardening beds.

• Safety and Discipline: A safe and disciplined learning environment is crucial for our students. We have implemented effective security measures, anti-bullying policies, and a positive disciplinary approach. Our school has security cameras throughout and the gates remained locked. All visitors must enter through the front office.

• Community and Parental Involvement: St. Frances Cabrini School works to foster a sense of community. We encourage parental involvement! This can include regular communication between teachers and parents, parent-teacher organizations, and school events that bring families together.

• High School Preparation: We are successful in preparing students for high school and beyond. Students who attend Cabrini through 8th grade, usually find that they are more than prepared for high school. Our 8th graders have the opportunity to bring 3.5 high school credits with them when they graduate from our school.

• Early Childhood Program: Our school offers an early childhood program and curriculum that begins at age 3. Our program cost is less than a typical daycare and our youngest students are integrated into the student body to learn and develop their Faith. 

• Technology: Our campus is 1:1. This means that every student in K-8th is assigned a Chromebook or an iPad. Our youngest students have sets of iPads in their classrooms for the teachers to use during center time.

A SmartLab is an innovative educational space designed to facilitate hands-on, experiential learning across various disciplines, often incorporating elements of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education. At Cabrini, we also incorporate RELIGION and ART (STREAM) Here's a breakdown of what our SmartLab entails:

1. Multifunctional Space: Our SmartLab is a physical environment within the school that is specially designed to accommodate a wide range of activities and projects. It's equipped with learning stations to support different types of learning experiences.

2. Cutting-Edge Technology: Our SmartLab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology tools and resources. This includes computers, tablets, a 3D printer, robotics kits, coding platforms, sensors, and other digital tools that enable hands-on exploration and experimentation.

3. Interdisciplinary Curriculum: SmartLabs offer an interdisciplinary approach to learning, integrating concepts from various subject areas such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, language arts, social studies, and the arts. This cross-disciplinary approach helps students make connections between different fields of knowledge and fosters a holistic understanding of complex topics.

4. Project-Based Learning (PBL): The SmartLab  employs project-based learning (PBL) methodologies, where students engage in authentic, real-world projects that require them to investigate, design, create, and solve problems. St. Frances Cabrini School is dedicated to providing enriching experiences for our students beyond the classroom. Through carefully curated field trips, we aim to foster holistic growth by exposing students to diverse cultures, historical sites, and educational venues. These excursions serve as opportunities for experiential learning, allowing students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications while instilling values of empathy, respect, and curiosity. Under the guidance of our dedicated educators, these field trips become memorable moments of discovery, enlightenment, and spiritual enrichment, reflecting our commitment to nurturing the whole child within an authentic Catholic community.

Examples of field trips that our students experience are Old Mel's Farm, Grant Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch, CM Farms, The State Capitol, NASA- Houston Space Center, World War II Museum, SciPort, Kisatchie Forestry Week, StarBase, Local plays and muscials, The Alexandria Zoo, and many more.
